The first learning Scooter
Gain confidence and balance in vehicles - these are the strengths of the PUKY® R 1 scooter. Our entry-level scooter for children 2 years and older is equipped with a maintenance-free and quiet soft-comfort tire and stabilized by the twin tires on the rear axle. So he offers quick success experiences for children who learn to drive the scooter. The ball-bearing steering ensures a smooth steering and long durability - the non-slip footboard for a secure footing. The PUKY® R 1 is available in the colors red, blue and pink.
Scooter
The classic PUKY® scooter makes children perfectly fit for the bicycle because it trains the child's sense of balance in a similar way like balance bikes, but also strengthens the leg and trunk muscles. With scooters running easily and safely, children not only expand their range of motion, but increasingly develop their sense of speed, steering and braking.
Safety and child-friendly features are key aspects of all PUKY vehicles. For example, PUKY was the first manufacturer to install special safety handlebar grips with large impact surfaces. These protect against injuries if the child falls onto the handlebars. At the same time, the safety handlebar grips prevent unintentional sideways slipping. The structure of the grip provides a good grip and the small diameter, which is suitable for children's hands, allows the grip to be gripped completely.
To minimise the consequences of a fall, we supply a large handlebar pad with the scooter. This minimises the consequences of an impact on the handlebars. As always with PUKY, the fabric and handlebar pad are of course free of harmful substances, UV-resistant and extremely abrasion-resistant.
Due to the long handlebars, control bearings are exposed to high loads, especially on scooters. We therefore install a robust and durable ball bearing even in our smallest scooter. This guarantees smooth steering for more than just one child!
The maintenance-free and durable soft comfort tyres are highly abrasion-resistant and have low rolling resistance - and where there is no inner tube, you can't go flat.
The large footboard of the R1 scooter provides grip while riding. This ensures better power transmission and prevents your feet from slipping.

Measuring inner leg length in three steps
But how can you measure your child's inner leg length? Quite simply:
- Your child stands with its back against a wall wearing shoes.
- Clamp a book between its legs with the horizontal upper edge at the crotch.
- Now you can measure the distance from the top edge of the book to the floor with a tape measure or folding rule.
The measured value in centimetres is the inner leg length or crotch height. You can now use it to determine the right size for your child's balance bike or bicycle on our website.
